Weekly Update: Room Design
Only 10 more days until I release the next build! I have been working on level design/testing/and clean up and this week is going to be more of that, but I did get a few more systems working. Now when you die, you go back to the last save point or last angel statue that you used to heal. The statues will work like a checkpoint where you will keep what you had when you used that statue as long as you keep playing but you will need to find a save point before quiting. Statues only save your progress temporarily.
I have tried to put statues around the map so they should be fairly common, but they will take souls to use. You can also use touch interactions with monsters to get back health but that will cause corruption. Again spikes and traps now do less damage, and I am going to be doubling the health, but that may not be until next build. There will be 10 more health upgrades to find and I am debating starting you at either 4 or 6 health using half hearts for the life meter. (each heart would represent 2 life).
